    hay fever이 직역하면 '건초열'인데 건초에서 알레르기 물질을 발생하는 것은 극히 일부에 지나지 않습니다. 그래서 '알레르기 비염'이라고 하는 것이 정확한 용어입니다.

    Last month in Paraguay, a nation with a population of 7.4 million in the center of South America, The New York Times witnessed a different but well-established practice: Political operatives rounded up Indigenous people in Paraguay’s remote north and tried to control or purchase their votes. On the weekend of national elections, the Times witnessed representatives of the ruling Colorado Party attempting to purchase the votes of Indigenous people, and more than a dozen Indigenous people said in interviews that they had accepted money from the party just before they voted.

    The United Nations for the first time Monday officially commemorated the displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in the war surrounding the creation of Israel 75 years ago, drawing a sharp response from the Israeli ambassador to the world body.     3. World Health Organization Warns Against Using Artificial Sweeteners


     

    The World Health Organization on Monday warned against using artificial sweeteners to control body weight or reduce the risk of noncommunicable diseases, saying that long-term use is not effective and could pose health risks. These alternatives to sugar, when consumed long term, do not serve to reduce body fat in either adults or children, the WHO said in a recommendation, adding that continued consumption could increase the risk of Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and mortality in adults. The WHO’s announcement contradicts previous studies that have said these sweeteners don’t offer any health benefits but also do not cause harm.
